In Eredivisie (intern championship) PSV missed the chance to increase their advantage over Ajax.
PSV Eindhoven midfielder Jason Culina is feeling confident ahead tonight game against Liverpool:
The Champions League is another competition. Of course we are missing some players, but we are ready for it. It is our job to do our best for a good result. Liverpool have enough quality and players with experience, but so have we. We realise what is at stake and are looking forward to the Liverpool game and we will give our all.
Liverpool manager Rafa Benitez has warned his players not to under-estimate PSV Eindhoven when the two teams meet in the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final encounter in Holland.
Don’t let anyone be fooled into thinking that PSV will not fight with everything they have got to get into the last four. We will not under-estimate them. They beat Arsenal in the last round and they are top of their league. Whatever their supposed problems are with form or injuries, they will fight for this with everything they possess, have no fears about that. They will know how important the Champions League is and they will fight for everything, fight to win with all they have.

Initial diagnosis of the 24 years old player was 6-8 weeks out, witch means that he mis both legs in quarter final of Uefa Champions league with Liverpool. A doctor from the Brazilian federation claims he has a recovery programme that would allow Alex to return earlier, in just 5 weeks.
Alex told to PSV’s website:
I will work my butt off. I can start my recovery now in Brazil. I will work like crazy to recover as soon as possible. When I return to Holland, a new MRI scan will be done and then I hope that I am allowed to train again. I won’t give up and I hope that I can play more games this season.

It is a real disappointment. I do think that all clubs are tricky, but the fact is that we already had them in the group stage. You want to go somewhere else – any other club would have been nice. But we are glad that we are part of this stage of the tournament. Liverpool are tough because they play a defensive game, just like we do,” he explained. They have a few fantastic players like Steven Gerrard. If you beat Barcelona 2-1 on their own turf you are a very strong team. It will be a hell of a job so it will be important to get a good result in our own stadium.
